The Middle East Research Institute (MERI) An independent, non-profit academic organisation, focused on policy issues related to peoples, nations, and systems of governance in the Middle East in general, and Iraq in particular. Its mission is to contribute to the process of nation-building and democratisation through meaningful engagement, research and debates. The Institute aims to promote and develop human rights, good governance, the rule of law, and social and economic prosperity by publishing its studies and presenting policy proposals to stakeholders, including decision-makers and thought leaders. The Institute works in partnership with credible academic institutions and think tanks, both local and international, and publishes its research outputs (www.meri-k.org).

Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies The center aims to support Iraqi national security in its comprehensive concept with strategic thinking from the perspective of national interests, challenges, threats and risks facing the national, regional and international strategic environment. It follows the scientific methods through the preparation of research, strategic studies and practical policies that are applicable, predicting and preparing for the future in a changing world and making recommendations thereon. The Center is also keen to strengthen cooperation with research and studies centers at the national, regional and international levels in order to serve international security and stability in the region (www.alnahrain.iq).
