Addressing Iraq’s Immediate Priorities

MERI Forum is the institute’s flagship annual event which brings together local, national and international policy-makers, academics, opinion leaders, civil society activists, journalists and diplomats to debate the high priority issues that are affecting our region and offer solutions to decision-makers. The ultimate objective of the Forum is to promote peace, stability and prosperity in Iraq and the wider Middle East through engagement, dialogue and collective investment.

As such, MERI Forum 2023, which coincides with major national and international developments that are likely to shape the Middle East for some time, will revolve heavily around themes linked Iraq’s immediate policy priorities. We shall organize ten expert panels to discuss the ever-changing regional dynamics, Iraq’s economic priorities and the opportunities available for international engagement and collaboration.

The success of the MERI Forum is largely due to it providing a neutral and independent setting for academics and key political actors to share ideas and debate the issues affecting the Middle East today.
