MERI Forum 2015

Sharing Visions for the Future of the Middle East

3-5 November, 2015
Rotana Hotel, Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq

.

MERI Forum 2015, the premiere high-level policy gathering in Iraq, is fast approaching and shaping up to be an even greater success than last year in promoting discussion and debate on critical issues facing Iraq, the Kurdistan Region and wider Middle East.

Focused on Sharing Visions for the Future of the Middle East, this year’s Forum will bring together senior ranking national and international policymakers, academics, and opinion-makers to engage in spirited and wide-ranging discourse on fighting ISIS, population displacement crisis, implications of the Iran nuclear deal for the region, rule of law and institutional reform in Iraq; and the challenges of keeping Iraq united.

Full programme can be found here and a regularly updated list of speakers can be found here.  Those interested in attending should register here.

We dedicated 100 places (free of charge) for academics, journalists and intellectuals from local institutions, specializing in relevant fields (e.g., politics, rule of law, international affairs, etc.) to attend.  Another 50 places were offered free (by invitation) to local diplomats, government officials and NGO representatives who are involved in policy making.

To know more about these free places, write to events@meri-k.org.

Finally, we are excited to announce that the entire Forum will be live-streamed on the MERI website, starting at 14.00  on Tuesday, 3 November, 2015.  Please check MERI website for links.
