MERI Ranked as Iraq’s Leading Think Tank

MERI ranked 58 out of 398 organisations in the MENA Region. MERI also became the highest ranked think tank in Iraq, where 31 think tanks are known to operate.

The importance of think tanks in terms of their impact and success in influencing policy-and decision-making process is to a large degree determined by the value which a society attributes to research and academic methodologies.

The government has the focus on crisis management and needs to make this a national project, away from the political in-fight.

The Institute welcomes contributions that aim to analyse contemporary and historical dynamics and developments in the sphere of politics, economy and society.
