MERI is pleased to host Mr Mustafa Hijri, the General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (KDPI) ,on Monday, 22 August, 2016, between 16:00-18:00.
While the Middle East’s political and security landscape is undergoing radical changes, the Kurds in Iran find themselves marginalized and facing greater challenges than ever before. However, their aspiration for wining their civil and democratic rights have not diminished. In this workshop, Mr Hijri will lead discussions on the latest developments in the neighbourhood and the opportunities and challenges that he and his party are facing. Other participants include leading political and academic experts.
