MERI Seminar: Economics and Transparency

MERI is pleased to host a seminar for the UK Ambassador to Iraq H.E. Frank Baker, on Wednesday 11, May 2016, at 15:00. The ambassador will be talking about economics and transparency.

This seminar comes at a time when Iraq and the Kurdistan Region are going through a severe financial and economic crisis, with Transparency International often listing Iraq among the most corrupt countries in the world. As a result, there is a wide appreciation by both governments for moving away from the rentier state model and reshaping the structure of their economies, as well as pursuing measures to combat corruption and improve transparency.

This event is by invitation only, with 30 seats available, allocated on first come – first serve basis. RSVP by email to: events@meri-k.org.

Please note: The seminar will be held in English.
