MERI strives to be a timely and reliable resource of information for researchers, members, journalists and other interested users. Journalists turn to MERI for expert commentary and authoritative research publications by our pool of specialists on key issues of the day. Our press office will release information in a timely fashion, find experts for the media to provide additional information and direct journalists to other sources of information.

On this website, we provide links to significant news items, but take no responsibility for their factual or analytical contents.

Only authorised research staff (Research Fellows, Senior Research Fellows and Programme Directors) can formally represent MERI in their dealings with the media, and their affiliation stated on publications or during media/press interviews. Members are not permitted to refer to their affiliation with MERI in publications or interviews We requests the cooperation of journalists in respecting this policy by not referring to our members’ affiliation.
