Dilan M. Rostam Roshani is a Non-Resident Associate Research Fellow at the Middle East Research Institute. He was born in Kurdistan and grew up in Europe. His main interest is in e-Smart Solutions, e-collaboration and education as well as sustainable green policies. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc in e-smart collaborative design from Chalmers University in Sweden, and did his PhD in University of Nottingham, UK. Dilan has extensive industrial experience in e-Management and applied computer science in design work, with several published articles. He also has a long track record in applying IT in Education, and initiated a number of projects such as KURDISTANICA and e-enabled Unified Kurdish Alphabet.
Dilan is currently the Vice President of Koya University for scientific Affairs, and formerly worked as an IT adviser to the KRG Ministry of Higher Education (2011), where he lead the establishment of the first nation-wide e-application system for the Universities (Zankoline) and Human Capacity Development Programme (HCDP scholarship).
